FEU: ORANGE REVOLUTION HISTORY Sandigan Party was established by leaders of various student organization in the campus in 1987- amidst the turmoil of the post-Marcos period and the brute repression of student's rigts inside FEU. Its principles and standpoints were encapsulated under the banner: "Serve the students" and "Serve the people", which illuminated the path to transversed by the newly-established party. Through the years, Sandigan matured not only into a dynamic party but a "Student institution" that has been tried and tested of student rights and welfare and the advancement of the interest of the Filipino people. The party has been true to its name: "masasandigan". Sandigan valiantly fought for the interest of the students, even in cases when the party knew that it would be the ire of the administrations, it was the leaders of SANDIGAN who led the fight in defense of their rights.  Whenever the students were adversely affected by laws that are detrimental to the Filipino people (such as the lack of budget for education, social welfare, housing, health care etc.). It was Sandigan who persuaded FEU students to support the mass actions of the impoverished majority. Isang partidong ,maasahan para sa interes ng nakakarami. Isang partidong handang harapin ang anumang hamon para sa kapakanan at kagalingan ng nakakarami".
